Alumina Ceramic Foam Filter for Aluminum Casting
Alumina ceramic foam filter is a new type of low-density, high-porosity filter with a three-dimensional network skeleton structure. It is widely used in the aluminum process industry for molten aluminum filtering, improving aluminum quality.
Alumina ceramic foam filters can effectively remove the non-metal solid mixture from aluminum and aluminum alloy fusion, reduce trapped gas, and provide laminar flow. Then the filtered metal is significantly cleaner. Cleaner metal results in higher-quality castings, less scrap, and fewer inclusion defects. It improves the quality of aluminum alloy and other non-ferrous alloy casting, all of which contribute to reducing casting cost, its maximum service temperature of 1200°C.
It is mainly used for the purification process of aluminum, aluminum alloy, and other nonferrous alloy production, and can also be used as a gas-solid, liquid-solid separation medium, catalyst carrier, burner, and sound-absorbing and environmental protection fields.
The alumina ceramic foam filter is equipped with a gasket on the edges; the gasket assures the proper and tight position of the filter within the filter box. There are different types of gaskets available, e.g. ceramic fiber gaskets, etc., which also can provide alumina ceramic foam filters without gaskets. These types of filters have been favored by customers from Europe and the United States for years.

Product Application
