These ceramic foam filters are designed for mold-casting metal. The reticular shape of the foam filter provides a thorough and deep filtration to remove impurities in the molten metal stream.

Ceramic foam filters have an excellent ability to resist high thermal shock while maintaining efficient filtration. They are widely used in sand, investment, shell, and permanent molds for both ferrous and non-ferrous alloy filtration operations.

These ceramic foam filters are an effective instrument to reach the metallurgical purity of molten metal during the process of casting. The filters are also calm mold filling, thus preventing the creation of undesirable defects in the casting.

How To Choose Porosity Of Filter:
• The higher the porosity, the better the filtration. However, too high porosity leads to a low-speed rate of the metal. This is especially important for SG iron. Usually, our recommendations are as follows:
• 10ppi-for ductile iron, big grey iron, steel casting.
• 20ppi-for grey iron, malleable cast iron, and nonferrous alloy casting.
• 30ppi-for grey and malleable cast-iron, nonferrous alloy casting.
