Silicon Carbide Ceramic Foam filter

These ceramic foam filters are designed for mold-casting metal. The reticular shape of the foam filter provides a thorough and deep filtration to remove impurities in the molten metal stream. Ceramic foam filters have an excellent ability to resist high thermal shock while maintaining efficient filtration. They are widely used in sand, investment, shell, and permanent molds for both ferrous and non-ferrous alloy filtration operations. Thanks to the mechanism of creation of the "filter cake" on the inlet filter side and thanks to depth filtration inside the ceramic matrix, these ceramic foam filters are an effective instrument to reach the metallurgical purity of molten metal during the process of casting. How To Choose Porosity Of Filter:
• The higher porosity, the better filtration. But too high porosity leads to low-speed rate of the metal. This is especially important for SG iron. Usually, our recommendations are as below:
• 10ppi-for ductile iron, big grey iron, steel casting.
• 20ppi-for grey iron, malleable cast iron, non ferrous alloy casting.
• 30ppi-for grey and malleable cast-iron, nonferrous alloy casting.

How To Set Filter:
The ceramic foam filter can be used in the filtration chamber of a gating system as well as for direct
pouring on the filter.
Filter is usually set above or below the sprue, runner, in pouring cup.

Quality Control: 

All production processes are under the control of the ISO9001 quality management system. During the production process, firstly, ensure that the ambient temperature and humidity are within the required range. In the whole process of raw material cutting, slurry forming, blank drying, and sintering, the workers in each key process should self-check the hole, size, weight, and appearance of the filter in the process, and the inspectors should regularly conduct sampling inspection, Ensure that the defective products do not flow into the next process.

Packing                                                 

1.  Inside packing: Filters are put in small boxes and Layered packaging. There is cardboard between each layer.
2. Outside packing: Cartons&Pallets. Three layer corrugated cartons and export special pallets.
3. The mark on cartons can be designed according to the customer's request.
