Ceramic riser tube is the core component of low-pressure casting process, mainly used to smoothly transport molten metal from the holding furnace to the mold cavity. We mainly supply aluminum titanate (Al2TiO5) riser tube and silicon nitride (Si3N4) riser tube, which are specially designed for aluminum alloy molten liquid transportation, ensuring smooth filling and no oxide inclusions, significantly improving the casting yield.

Key Function

Aluminum titanate (Al2TiO5) riser tubes are specially designed for low-pressure casting of aluminum alloys. They have excellent thermal shock resistance and aluminum liquid corrosion resistance, and can work stably for a long time at a high temperature of 1000°C. Its unique low thermal expansion characteristics effectively prevent cracking, and at the same time, it has high strength and good economy. It is a cost-effective choice for the production of conventional castings such as aluminum alloy wheels and housings, and can significantly improve production efficiency and casting yield.

Working principle:
It is usually a vertically placed ceramic tube, one end of which is connected to the molten metal in the insulation furnace, and the other end leads to the mold pouring system. Under the pressure of compressed gas (usually inert gas), the molten metal rises along the riser and fills the mold through the gate. After the filling is completed, the pressure is released and the unsolidified molten metal flows back to the insulation furnace.
