Ceramic follicle foamers are only developed as a new type of molten metal filter to reduce casting defects. They play a vital role in the metal casting and foundry industries. They are used to filter out impurities in molten metal. Improve quality and performance. A "filter cake" is formed on one side of the inlet filter, and deep filtration is carried out inside the ceramic matrix, so these ceramic foam filters are an effective tool to achieve the metallurgical purity of molten metal during the casting process. The filter also stabilizes the filling of the mold, thereby preventing undesirable defects in the casting. The type of ceramic foam filter especially depends on its application requirements. Therefore, in practice, filters for filtering non-ferrous metal alloys (casting temperature up to 1000°C), filters for filtering sheet and spherical graphite cast iron, and filters for filtering steel are used. Depending on the casting material, filters based on Al2O3, SiC, ZrO2 or graphite can be used.

2. Zirconia Ceramic Foam Filter is applied to purge and filter solution of steel high temperature metal such as steel alloy stainless steel etc.Typical application of zirconia ceramic foam filter is for in-mold, tundish, pouring cup or baffle-type filtration.
3. Alumina Ceramic Foam Filter is applied to purge and filter solution of aluminium and aluminium alloys.  White in color alumina foam filter is made from high purity alumina (AI2O3).  It has excellent ability to resist high thermal shock while maintaining efficient removal of impurities with continuous and thorough filtration.

Principle Of Using Filter:
• Set the filters as close as possible of the casting.
• Use simple gating system without dirt trap ( improve yield).
• The working area of filter should be 4-6 times of the section of chocked flow in gating system to make
sure that the pouring speed is not affected.
• Select the proper filters according to types of metal and pouring temperature.
• The higher porosity, the better filtration.
