Alumina Ceramic Foam Filter plate for Aluminum Casting
Alumina ceramic foam filters are mainly used in the production of aluminum and aluminum alloy purification processes. With more and more high-quality aluminum product requirements, the application of alumina ceramic foam filters will be more extensive.
Alumina ceramic foam filter application:
- Effectively eliminate the bulk of molten aluminum inclusions.
- Removed small size of several microns inclusions in the normal process of molten aluminum. At the same time, as ceramic foam filter reduce the small inclusions, effectively reduces the number of the nucleus in the liquid aluminum, and shorten the solidifying time, organizations are refined.
- Reduce the hydrogen content in liquid aluminum. Hydrogen atoms can be adsorbed in oxide inclusions, oxide inclusions can be the core of gas generation. It also filtered gas when removing the inclusion.
- By adsorption, It can remove the harmful elements in molten aluminum (Na K).

Alumina ceramic foam filter use
1. Clean the filter box.
2. Gently put the filter into the filter box, and press the gasket around the filter to prevent the molten aluminum to flow from the side.
3. Even preheat the filter box and filter plates, closer to the temperature of molten aluminum casting.
4. Observe the aluminum liquid hydraulic head change, the normal initial pressure head is 75-150 mm. When the Alumina
liquid began to pass, the pressure head will be reduced to 25 mm below, then the pressure head will gradually increase.
5. After filtration, timely remove the filter plate, and clean the filter box.
