HONEYCOMB CERAMIC FILTER
Honeycomb ceramic filters apply to metal liquid filtration, it is made material of mullite or cordierite ceramics. With unique high-density straight-pore honeycomb structure, excellent thermal shock resistance, high strength, high porosity, and specific surface area. Thereby improving its adsorption and capturing tiny impurities ability, as to get rid of non-metal impurities and gas, purify metal liquid, make the metal liquid steady, and reduce the vortex. It not only reduces the defective index of the casting, prolongs the working life of the casting, and reduces the casting cost, but also improves the mechanical capability and appearance quality of the casting.
Ceramic honeycomb filter is extensively applied to the metallurgic plants of casting and foundry, such as steel, iron, copper and aluminum, etc. It has high mechanical intensity and heat resistance, removing the metal impurity, refractory scrap, solid refractory alloy, and sinter in the molten metal liquid.
Size and Specifications:
Due to their basic filtering capacity and high heat capacity, these Ceramic Honeycomb Strainers are used rather in smaller dimensions and thicknesses for grey cast iron castings. The Ceramic Honeycomb Strainer captures particular slags and makes mold filling more homogeneous and uniform, thus increasing the purity of the cast metal and eliminating sand mixture erosion during casting.

Application:
Ceramic honeycomb filter is mainly used in the metallurgy, and foundry industry. When the molten liquid metal passes through the ceramic honeycomb channel, the debris, the slag, and other inclusions are removed. Ceramic honeycomb filter improves the quality of molten metal flow. A stable and fast laminar molten metal flow prevents air from getting into the molten metal flow, molten metal gets oxidized and splashes out.
